Representatives from Boydell & Brewer and Liverpool University Press will be on hand to discuss projects by SGNCS delegates and to showcase recent publications. Liverpool University Press will be represented by Christabel Scaife. Christabel is a Senior Commissioning Editor at Liverpool University Press, where she acquires monographs and edited collections for the series Studies in the Global Nineteenth Century, published in partnership with the SGNCS. Christabel would be delighted to speak to delegates about ideas for the series, which will publish its first volume in Spring 2026. In addition, she commissions work on English literature from the nineteenth century to the contemporary period, and would also be very happy to pass on queries about modern languages proposals to LUP's Senior Commissioning Editor for Modern Languages, Chloé Johnson-Walsh.

Boydell & Brewer will be represented by Katherine Hartle and Crispin Peet. Katherine Hartle is a commissioning editor at Boydell & Brewer, with a particular interest in the long nineteenth century. She is at the conference on Thursday 17th and Sunday 20th and would be delighted to chat with anyone about current and future book projects and ideas, or academic publishing more broadly. Find her at Boydell's stand or in the sessions. Crispin is editorial assistant of Boydell & Brewer's modern history list, supporting editorial director Michael Middeke and commissioning editor Katherine Hartle. In post for over two years and attending the conference throughout, talk to Crispin at the bookstand for information on Boydell's offering and insights on publishing academic works more broadly.
